Hi, I’m Lauren Wood! I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from North Carolina State University and have proudly called the Asheville area home since 2014.

I joined Open Hearts in 2025 as a Paper Florist and Vending Associate, and I quickly became inspired by the organization's mission and the meaningful impact it has on individuals and families throughout our community.

I am excited to bring my creativity, compassion, and background in psychology to my role as a Direct Support Professional (DSP). I believe there is a powerful connection between psychology and the arts, and I am passionate about using creative approaches to support mental, emotional, and overall well-being. I look forward to building meaningful relationships, fostering personal growth, and helping individuals thrive while achieving their unique goals.
